APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

United States Department of Labor Approved Sponsor

New Jersey Electronic Life Safety Association (“NJELSA”) is proud to announce that it has received approval from the United States Department of Labor (“USDOL”) to offer an apprenticeship program for the Protective Signal Installer trade - Rapids Code 0459.

NJELSA represents electronic security professionals, system integrators, fire alarm companies, manufacturers and distributors that do business in New Jersey.

NJELSA’s new three-year apprenticeship program will provide apprentices with several career advancement opportunities. Apprentices participating in the program will receive a combination of on-the-job training and related technical instruction under the supervision of journey-level professionals. Apprentices will earn wages and perform productive work, while learning the practical and theoretical aspects of this highly skilled occupation.
